Lemar performs at The Brunswick

Published:  02 December, 2010

Christmas festivities kicked off at The Brunswick shopping centre in London last Friday with a visit from chart-topping singer Lemar.

The centre welcomed a host of entertainment to celebrate the annual Christmas light switch on with hundreds of shoppers turning out in the hope of catching a glimpse of Lemar, who turned on the centre's lights.

Crowds were also entertained by carol singing from local choir groups Vocally Sound and The Brunswick’s residence choir, as well as songs from The Virgin Soldiers, a 5 piece band from Kent, and "AJ", a young singer who is set for stardom with his album release in 2011. The evening also saw the launch of a competition giving shoppers the chance to win a MINI Cooper.

Centre manager, David Plumb said: “We're thrilled with the turn out for the light switch this year. It was a real pleasure to welcome Lemar to the centre and to give up and coming stars the chance to perform in centre. I hope everyone enjoyed the evening.”
