Barry Knight joins Grant Thornton as head of retail

Grant Thornton has announced the appointment of Barry Knight as head of retail.

Knight brings over 20 years of financial advisory experience to the firm having previously worked for Littlewoods, Selfridges, Jaeger, MyTravel and Boots.

Knight will lead the retail team in providing clients with advice across all aspects of business, including audit, tax, corporate finance, employer solutions, and financial and operational restructuring.

Speaking on Knight's new appointment, David Maxwell, member of the National Leadership Board at Grant Thornton said: "We are delighted that Barry Knight has joined the firm to head our expanding  retail team. Having worked with some of the country’s most well-known retailers, Barry has built a wealth of invaluable sector experience which he brings to this role.
