Ten new tenants at Cabot Circus
Published: 01 December, 2010
Cabot Circus, Bristol is 97 per cent let after securing ten new brands.
Leading the new lettings is Sanctuary Spa which has opened five treatment rooms and a champagne manicure bar in its new unit - one of only three branches outside London.
The independent retail offer has also been given a boost with the signing of designer boutique GarmentQuarter and children’s hairdresser Eskimokids.
Other new stores include fashion retailers Fenchurch, Pulp, Quiz, sports specialist Two Seasons and stationary chain Scribbler.
The catering offer continues to build with imminent openings for KFC and Spud-u-Like. A Harvey Nichols foodmarket has opened for the Christmas period as well as a temporary Carluccio’s deli.
Gavin Murray, portfolio manager of Land Securities, said: “We have seen a high level of interest in recent months from retailers that are looking for the right environment for their brand - not just in terms of store size and layout, but the overall customer experience. Cabot Circus is able to offer this, and has the added attraction of quality restaurants and a 3,000 seat cinema, which makes it the ideal shopping destination.”
“These latest lettings take Cabot Circus to 97 per cent let - a considerable achievement given the economic climate. We are also in discussions with potential tenants about all of the remaining units, meaning that we could be almost fully let by the New Year.”
Footfall at the centre is up 14 per cent year-on-year and dwell time has increased by 20 minutes to one hour 19 minutes for an average customer visit.
