Blue Inc plans to open 20 UK stores in 2011

Published:  19 November, 2010

Menswear brand Blue Inc is continuing its expansion programme with another 20 new stores targeted for next year.

Joint letting agents King Sturge and Brasier Freeth will be seeking retail units of 2,500 - 4,000 sq ft - preferably with wide frontages and in prominent corner positions - in shopping centres and retail parks both in major cities and smaller to mid-sized towns.

Martin Crossley, retail partner at King Sturge, said: "Blue Inc is one of the most successful men's fashion retailers in the market today. It offers an excellent covenant with quality shopfits and a growing brand profile, and continues to increase its profits year on year when many of its competitors have fallen into administration."

Blue Inc has almost 100 stores across most areas of the UK, including Wales and Northern Ireland, and is looking to move into Scotland in the near future.

The fashion brand was founded in the East End of London in 1912 and has been consistently profitable, forecasting profits of £3m for 2010. It targets 12-29 year old males although it is increasingly offering womenswear in selected larger stores.
