Fashion Party at Castle Quay for Breast Cancer

Published:  15 November, 2010

Castle Quay shopping centre, Banbury, has hosted a Fashion Party to mark national “Wear Pink Day” in a bid to help raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer.

High street favourites including Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, New Look and Dorothy Perkins showcased their clothing lines on the catwalk throughout the day. Professional models shared the limelight with some of Castle Quay’s very own security staff, who also strutted their stuff down the catwalk.

Castle Quay’s Rebecca Deeley is delighted by the response: “We initially expected the event to attract a lot of women, given it was centred around fashion and pampering, but there was a huge number of families there too. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the wide selection of retailers we have in store, and it was lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves and raising money for such a good cause.”

Pamper Pods, set up throughout the centre were also a hit, as shoppers took a break to relax and try out the latest makeup and hair products. The centre also gave away 2,000 recycles shopping bags.
