Bristol mall 95 per cent let two years after opening
The 300,000-sq ft Willow Brook Centre in the Bristol suburb of Bradley Stoke, developed by Tesco subsidiary Spen Hill, is now 95 per cent let following five new lettings.
Poundstretcher is taking a new 10-year lease on a 10,000-sq ft unit which fronts the Willow Brook car park, which has over 1,000 free spaces. Mitchell & Butler, trading as Harvester, is taking a 5,003-sq ft unit for a family-friendly bar and restaurant with a planned opening in late November 2010.
Boots UK, the UK's leading pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer proposes taking a 5,000-sq ft unit and a planning application has been submitted for a mezzanine to accommodate the company's regional office.
In addition, Ocean Estate Agents and Santander have completed and will be
opening before Christmas.
On only the second anniversary of the centre opening, just three retail units remain meaning that 95 per cent of the retail space is occupied. Other tenants include Tesco Extra, Peacocks, Specsavers, Pets at Home, Brantano, Carphone Warehouse, Shoe Zone, Timpson, Greggs, Subway, Costa, Simpsons's Fish & Chips and KFC.
Centre manager Scott Lahive said: "There has been a real surge in interest for space in our town centre. To secure such a prestigious high-street brands as
Boots and Poundstretcher in such tough economic times is great news for Bradley Stoke, particularly as Boot's is also hoping to relocate its south-west regional office too, creating good career opportunities."
Joint agents Alder King and Morgan Williams are acting on behalf of Spenhill. Sturgis Shattock and partners acted for Poundstretcher.
