SOHO Coffee Co expands

SOHO Coffee Co’s expansion has led to the opening of a new store at Merry Hill in Brierley Hill and a concession unit in Next at the Arndale Centre, Manchester.
The recently opened store at Westfields’s Merry Hill is the first of a new format for SOHO, adopting a low carbon footprint with a coffee island unit seating up to 50 customers at any one time. The new design allows easy access for shoppers, particularly wheelchairs users and those with children’s pushchairs.
SOHO’s outlet in Arndale’s Next store opened on Thursday. Director, Penny Manuel, said: It’s very exciting and great to see how the unit has turned out. We’re right at the front of the flagship store and people are very happy to walk in from the street and have a coffee. It’s as if it’s always been there.”
Birmingham has been identified as a key expansion area for SOHO and the company directors are currently looking for a potential site at The Bull Ring shopping centre as part of its future plans.
“It’s a rolling programme,” said Manuel. “We know we work well in a retail environment and we’re always looking to take new units.”
SOHO has 16 outlets in the UK and prides itself on the use of local ingredients in its food, which is freshly prepared each day.
