Standard Life and Arcadia sign lease at BCSC conference

The fashion retailer is taking 8,112 sq ft at Standard Life’s Parkway project in Newbury, which is due to open in October 2011, and the deal means the 475,000-sq ft project is now 50 per cent let.

Ed Jenkins, fund manager at Standard Life, said: “It has always been or strategy to let the scheme’s MSUs first. With H&M and New Look secured, we are moving ahead with the letting of the unit shops at Parkway. The deal with Topshop is the first of these, and we also have a number of lettings in solicitors’ hands as well as being in advanced negotiations with a number of other retailers keen to open in Newbury.”

Strutt & Parker and Jones Lang LaSalle are joint letting agents.
