West Dublin’s largest retail destination, Liffey Valley shopping centre, is 100 per cent let after securing eight new retailers this year.
Republic opened its second Irish store at the centre with a 500 sq m unit on a 10 year lease followed by the Early Learning Centre which opened its first stand alone store in the Republic of Ireland.
Other lettings include Barratts Shoes, Art N Hobby – due to relocate to a permanent unit after Christmas - fashion brand Counter Propaganda and phone giants O2, Meteor and Carphone Warehouse, which has taken a 13.9 sq m new concept kiosk.
Shelagh Larard of joint owners Aviva Investors, said: “Despite difficulties in the economy, retailer confidence in Liffey Valley has enabled us to undertake asset management initiatives, resulting in the centre being fully occupied and truly ‘open for business’. The centre continues to go from strength to strength and is a testament to the pro-active approach adopted in managing the centre.”
Strutt & Parker and Savills are joint letting agents.
