Touchwood boosts catering line-up

Giraffe, Ask and Pret a Manger are the latest catering brands to sign at Lend Lease’s Touchwood shopping centre in Solihull
Ask will operate from a 3,350-sq ft unit along with Giraffe which opens its first branch in the Midlands area when it moves into a 2,100-sq ft unit. And Pret has taken a split level area providing a total floor space of 2,816 sq ft.
Guy Thomas, head of leasing at Lend Lease said: “These lettings are a shining example of the market’s appetite for good quality space in desirable locations. We have witnessed a real shift in consumer habits at Touchwood over recent years; our strong catering offer has encouraged more shoppers to indulge themselves a little further after shopping or simply choosing to enjoy a night out with friends and family in a lively and friendly atmosphere. This has been reflected in a steady total sales growth by our catering operators, which reported an increase of 6 per cent during September.”
Giraffe has taken a 20 year lease and was represented by Western Ridge. Ask has taken a 25 year lease and was represented by Gondola Group, whilst Pret has taken a 10 year lease represented by CB Richard Ellis. DTZ acted on behalf of Lend Lease.
