The Frenchgate shopping centre in Doncaster has secured German jewellery giant Bijou Brigitte and clothing brand Jack & Jones.

Regarded as the market leader in the fashion jewellery and accessories market, Bijou Brigitte have 1,200 stores across Europe and only six in the UK. Their new 901 sq ft store at The Frenchgate will be their first northern venture following the success of their London stores.

Centre manager, Amanda Phillips said: “We are delighted to welcome Bijou Brigitte to the Centre. They have had massive success with their London stores and we are certain that they will be just as popular here in Doncaster.”

Richard Wilcox, UK retaining agent for Bijou Brigitte, added: “Bijou Brigitte saw this as the perfect opportunity to expand into the northern market and are looking forward to opening within the Frenchgate shopping centre.”

Jack & Jones was founded in 1989 and is one of Europe’s leading producers of menswear. It has taken a 1,474 sq ft unit.

Both new lettings come after Panasonic recently joined the centre helping to increase footfall by 11 per cent over the weekend of the opening - over 3000 more visitors than usual.

Phillips said: “The opening of the Panasonic store was a great success and we are committed to delivering diversity and quality across the entire centre; which is why we are delighted to announce another addition in the form of Jack & Jones.”
