DTZ appoints retail agent Hugh Radford as head of its UK retail business.

Radford has been a director at DTZ since 2007 when the company acquired Donaldsons, where he was an equity partner. He retains responsibility for the business’s retail agency team.

As the UK’s number-one-rated leasing team, DTZ Retail has played key roles in such high-profile shopping centres as Bluewater, Westfield London, Victoria Square in Belfast, Bristol’s Cabot Circus and Leicester Highcross.

The team is currently leasing Westfield’s newest development at Stratford. DTZ Retail clients also include the Crown Estate, Land Securities, Hermes, Hammerson, Aviva, Lend Lease, Multi and Henderson.

Radford said: “Retail is one of the pillars of DTZ. Today’s market is complex and challenging: our clients rely on the multiple insights we have gained from working closely with developers, investors, retailers, landlords and owners.  It is my role to build on the team’s collective expertise, knowledge and successes to further our market leadership.”
