Vinci Park doubles UK operation with Meteor acquisition

Published:  03 September, 2010

Vinci Park has acquired Meteor Parking from the Go-Ahead Group, in a move which will double the specialist parking operator’s size in the UK

The deal will see Vinci Park take control of an additional 40,000 car parking spaces across the UK. Meteor has operations at hospitals, train stations and retail outlets across the country. It also manages airport parking and bussing operations at a number of UK airports.

Meteor’s portfolio of contracts will complement Vinci Park’s already extensive list of clients and add to a portfolio which also includes hospital trusts, PFI consortia, property companies and local authorities.

Vinci Park UK CEO Mark Evans said: “This deal shows how serious we are about expanding both the range and scope of our UK business. Meteor’s award winning approach fits perfectly with Vinci Park Services’ culture of putting clients and customers first.”
