Waterford City could get new retail park

Published:  25 August, 2010

A planning application for a 34 unit outlet centre in Waterford City, Ireland has been submitted.

The retail park, which would house some of the world’s leading designer brands, is planned to be developed on the outskirts of the city, on land owned by Parker Green International.

A car park with space for over 360 cars and four coaches is proposed as part of the development on the site where Parker Green International has already got permission to build an eight-screen Onmiplex cinema.

If the planning application is given the green light, 300 construction jobs over 200 retail and supervisory jobs will be on offer once the building work is completed.

A decision is expected to be reached on September 9.
