The music-oriented fashion retailer Pulp is to open at St David’s, Cardiff.

Pulp will open a 2,603 sq ft store at the centre on Thursday as part of an expansion plan for the new retailer which announced last week that it is opening a store at Union Square shopping centre in Aberdeen.

The retailer has opened eight stores since it was set up in 2008 and plans to open more in city centres across the country.

Joanne Skilton, of Capital Shopping Centres (CSC), on behalf of St David’s Partnership, the joint venture between CSC and Land Securities, said: “Pulp brings with it an alternative fashion and lifestyle offering adding to our diverse tenant mix and excellent fashion line up.”

Ian Hopkins, Pulp director said: “Everything at St David’s seemed right for us – the location, the size of the store, and most importantly the identifiable landmark.  As a new business it is easy to direct our customers to a location like St David’s, and the centre also allows them a degree of confidence that we are a trustworthy business.”

Lunson Mitchenall, Cushman & Wakefield and EJ Hales are the agents for St David’s; Heb advised Pulp.
