Angels, the UK’s largest and longest-established fancy dress retailer, is to open a 2,370 sq ft pop-up store at Bluewater.
The store will open in early September offering over 700 costumes and a range of wigs, masks and make-up. The store will focus on Halloween-themed costumes whilst also stocking fancy dress favourites such as pirate and superhero outfits.
Bluewater’s general manager, Andrew Parkinson, said: “The Angels pop-up store is a great addition to Bluewater and provides something unique for our guests. It also highlight’s Bluewater’s appeal as a destination for innovative retail concepts and store formats, and follows last year’s award-winning Dyson pop-up.”
Emma Angel, director of Angels, added: “Halloween grows in popularity with every year, and it made perfect sense for us to bring the Angels costume magic to Bluewater. We are hoping both guests and fellow retailers at Bluewater will join with us in celebrating the UK’s leading costume and party season.”
According to a survey conducted by industry analysts Planet Retail in 2009, the UK Halloween retail market is worth £235m - the third largest retail season after Christmas and Easter.
