High-end fashion brand Lipsy has announced plans to open two stores in Scottish shopping centres.
Lipsy has taken 10 year, turnover based leases on a 2,109 sq ft unit in Aberdeen’s St Nicolas Centre and a 2,294 sq ft unit at Glasgow’s Buchanan Galleries.
The two new stores will be the second and third to open in Scotland, where Lipsy has been keen to develop its presence.
The St Nicholas Centre is owned by Land Securities and British Land, while Buchanan Galleries is jointly owned by Henderson Global Investors and Land Securities.
Katherine Armstead of Land Securities, said: “Lipsy is a brand which will complement the host of fashion retailers that have already located in our centres with more exciting names planned for the future.
“Recent deals such as Swarovski and Hobbs continue to help position St Nicholas as one of the leading fashion centres in Scotland. Meanwhile the Lipsy brand will further strengthen the fashion offering at Buchanan Galleries and build upon its great reputation, while meeting the Glasgow shopper’s continuing desire for top fashion retailers.”
Eric Young & Co acted on behalf of the Land Securities and British Land partnership, with Culverwell acting on behalf of Buchanan Partnership.
