Trinity Walk signs five new retailers

The Trinity Walk development in Wakefield has signed retailers Republic, JD, Bank, Menkind and Coral in a new wave of brands taking space at the shopping centre.

They join retailers including Topshop, H&M, Next, River Island, Debenhams and Sainsbury’s at the 500,000 sq ft shopping centre being developed by Sovereign Land, AREA Property Partners and Shepherd Construction.

JD and Bank have both signed for two-storey flagship stores, taking a 6,716 sq ft unit and a 5,661 sq ft unit respectively.

Republic is taking a 5,877 sq ft unit, men’s accessories and gift retailer Menkind has taken 2,562 sq ft while Coral has signed up for 1,227 sq ft.

All units have been let on 10 year leases.

Max La Frenais, leasing director at Sovereign Land – joint developer and development manager of Trinity Walk, said: “This is great news for Trinity Walk and Wakefield. We are well on the way to delivering the high quality tenant mix that we always believed would be attracted to this scheme and we have strong occupier interest in the remaining units. These latest signings are testament to the true potential of the scheme and the city.
