Celebrity chefs visit thecentre:mk

Milton Keynes saw three days of events at thecentre:mk to celebrate the launch of the new £10m Destination Dining restaurant quarter

As part of the celebration, MasterChef’s John Torode and Lesley Waters who regularly featured on Ready Steady Cook with Ainsley Harriott, were on hand to give cooking demonstrations.
Melanie Beck, head of marketing and communications for thecentre:mk, said: “Destination Dining is thecentre:mk’s biggest development for over 15 years, so we put together a series of events throughout the three days which were designed to celebrate with key local dignitaries and our shoppers.
“Our professional master of ceremonies was on hand to help get the best information out of the chefs and we had samples and advice from Waitrose, Marks & Spencer and Hotel Chocolat.”
The new Destination Dining area, which was part of a £20m enhancement programme designed to give the recently-listed shopping centre a more cosmopolitan feel, has attracted  new restaurants Carluccios and  YO! Sushi alongside established catering operators.
