Warm weather makes people want to shop

Shopping centres could cash in next month after a survey revealed that warm weather makes people want to shop.
A survey of nearly 4,000 UK shoppers, conducted by the customer experience improvement agency, Retail Eyes, found that 64% of women and 68% of men prefer to shop in the sunshine meaning that the good weather predicted for August could have people flocking to shopping complexes up and down the country.
Retail Eyes marketing manager, Simon Boydell, explained that this summer’s sunny spells are the perfect opportunity to improve customer service. “This weather is fantastic for pulling in shoppers but competition is fierce and consumer confidence is down,” he said. “Improving your customer experience is the easiest and most effective way of attracting and retaining customers.”
“It will help make the whole shopping experience more memorable, attracting people back and helping you get a competitive advantage ahead of the Christmas rush.”
