The group secured a 17-year sub-lease of the 15,000-sq ft former NU nightclub bringing it a step closer to its goal to expand to 36 sites by 2015. T

Red Hot, which opened its first site in Nottingham in 2004, closely followed by Northampton and Milton Keynes, and more recently Liverpool, will open the new 350-cover restaurant in August 2010. It joins other restaurant operators, including Barburrito, Browns, Cafe Rouge and Nandos.

Red Hot is currently working with Lambert Smith Hampton to acquire multiple premises across the UK as part of its nationwide expansion programme. The company is targetting units of between 10,000 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft in cities with a population in excess of 200,000.
