Dragon's Kitchen and Costa join St David's catering line-up
St David’s has reinforced its position as the Welsh capital’s leading eating spot. Traditional Welsh restaurant Dragon’s Kitchen will soon open its doors at Cardiff’s premier centre. Dragon’s Kitchen will also be joined by a second Costa Coffee for St David’s, bringing the centre’s catering offering to near capacity.
Dragon’s Kitchen has taken a 1,669 sq ft unit in Eastside and Costa Coffee, following the success of its outlet in the Grand Arcade, will open its second unit, 2667 sq ft, at the centre’s Working Street entrance.
Dragon’s Kitchen will serve traditional Welsh cuisine with a contemporary twist alongside an excellent line up of restaurants at St David’s, such as Jamie’s Italian and the UK’s first Ruby Tuesday.
Joanne Skilton, of Capital Shopping Centres, on behalf of St David’s Partnership, the joint venture between CSC and Land Securities, said: “When it comes to food St David’s is unrivalled. Dragon’s Kitchen will add to our mix of popular established restaurant brands and local independents, which range from small cafes such as Muffin Break to larger restaurants like Carluccio’s, T.G.I. Friday’s, Pizza Express and Nando’s. St David’s offers the customer a great choice and a great reason to extend their stay once they have completed their shopping.”
The Dragon’s Kitchen restaurant follows the recent openings of independents such as the Italian Bellini’s Express, gourmet chocolate café Martin’s Chocolatier and French fast food outlet BOOF.
