Carluccio’s signs up for arc in Bury St Edmunds

Published:  04 June, 2010

Centros has signed up Carluccio’s for a 6,000-sq ft double unit at its arc development in Bury St Edmunds. The deal means the centre is now 95 per cent let.

Set to open in the early autumn, the caffè will be the second Carluccio’s in East Anglia after Cambridge. It has taken two units totalling just over 6,000 sq ft on two floors as well as with an outside seating area on arc’s southwest-facing square, which forms part of one of the two new shopping links between the town centre, arc’s 850-space car park and the nearby cinema complex.

Chris Parfitt, head of leasing at Centros, said: “Carluccio’s will anchor the sunny square at the end of Auction Street and, as well as appealing to shoppers, its breakfast-through-to-supper menu is bound to be a strong complement to arc’s new entertainment venue, once that opens later this year. Carluccio’s high-quality Italian fare will also add variety to the catering offer currently provided by Debenhams, Muffin Break, Shakeaway and Costa.”

Zone A rents vary across the development from £135 to £85 per sq ft and Centros’s letting agents are Jones Lang LaSalle, Knight Frank, and Mason & Partners.
