Promotion Space Group appoints Julian Spooner as chairman

Promotion Space Group, the leading out-of-home media specialist, has appointed Julian Spooner as its new chairman. He will work to accelerate the strong growth enjoyed by the company over the last few years, and promote out-of-home and destination media as a must-have proposition for brand marketing campaigns.
Spooner has vast experience in brand management and will be working with the senior team to increase Promotion Space Group’s profile and presence on the marketing schedules of brands whilst supporting the Groups' mergers and acquisitions strategy and the evolution of their international strategy.
A highly experienced chairman and international businessman, Spooner has held chairmanships at a number of private equity-backed companies. With a successful track record of growing large and small businesses, Spooner was previously CEO at Media Audits Group, where he more than doubled profits in four years by globalising client relationships, and trebling the value of the business in five years.
He was later instrumental in leading the integration of Accenture Marketing Sciences and Media Audits businesses globally, joining the combined business as chief operating officer.
He replaces Richard Wright who has stepped down as chairman of Promotion Space Group after two years at the helm but remains on the board as a non-executive director.
