Published:  27 April, 2010

An Irish cafe chain has signed a deal with The Outlet at Bridgewater Park, Banbridge to open its largest ever cafe at over 2,000 sq ft.

The Streat, Ireland's fastest growing cafe franchise, will occupy three retail units at a total of 2,178 sq ft and is due to open in May. The letting brings the centre's catering facilities to full capacity and creates 12 new jobs for the area.

The franchisee, who also plans to open an outdoor seating area for the summer, will join five existing food retailers at The Outlet including Starbucks and Simply Deane, owned by Michelin-starred chef Michael Deane.

Bobby Graham, The Streat franchisee at The Outlet commented: "We have been looking at the opportunity of opening at The Outlet for over a year and are really impressed with the prime location of The Outlet on the A1 road linking Belfast and Dublin, the quality of the scheme and the retail and catering mix. The Streat will enhance the strong catering mix already established at the centre."
