New retailers flock to Land Securities' outlet malls

Land Securities' two premier outlet malls, Gunwharf Quays and The Galleria, have attracted several new tenants in the last month.

Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth signed three new additions to its food offering this month: Wagamama has taken a 3,058-sq ft outlet; pizza chain Fire and Stone will occupy 4,815 sq ft; and Yo Sushi! has taken 2,097 sq ft. On the retail side, premium sailing clothing brand Quba Sails joins the centre next month on a five-year lease.

Meanwhile, The Galleria has secured Choice at Home on a 10-year lease taking 3,365 sq ft. The existing 8,314-sq ft store has been refurbished to house a new Choice fashion store.

Deepan Khiroya, retail portfolio director for Land Securities said; “Gunwharf Quays has continued to expand its leisure mix and we are reaping the benefits of an enviable location, which allows us to build an impressive and varied food offering. The Galleria has also gone from strength to strength and we predict the continued success and evolution of our outlet portfolio.”
