Cavern Walks distingushes itself from Liverpool One by attracting a string of cult boutiques

Published:  21 April, 2010

Cavern Walks shopping centre in Liverpool has been using its boutique status to attract a string of new designers, leaving only one vacancy remaining.

The centre, owned by Warner Estate Holdings, has added to existing tenants such as Vivienne Westwood and Cricket with independent boutiques and cult designers. Cello Boutique and Lola Loves are young, up-and-coming brands to take units in recent months, and more recently new brand Oh My Love has taken the last but one unit.

In addition, existing tenants have been expanding. Boudoir Boutique is trading as Boudette on the lower floor of their existing store with fashion aimed at a younger market, while Kids Cavern has taken another 1,250 sq ft to open the only dedicated children's footwear retailer in Liverpool.

Suzanne Walker, senior asset manager for Warner Estate commented: "While Liverpool One offers the big chain brand experience for the city, our emphasis has been very firmly on developing a unique boutique shopping experience, fostering emerging talents and ensuring Cavern Walks affirms its very own place on the Liverpool retail map; a strategy that is working."
