Prime location site sold at Westway Retail Park in Arbroath

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has sold a 0.5 acre site at Westway Retail Park in Arbroath to KFC. Westway Retail Park is located in a prominent position to the west of Arbroath town centre with a frontage to the main thoroughfare which provides access to and from the town. This links directly to the Arbroath/Dundee dual carriageway.

Jonathan Reid, associate at Shepherd’s Perth and Dundee offices, said, “The sale of this site to KFC highlights the attraction of Westway Retail Park as a location for national operators.

“Situated at the main entrance to the Estate, opposite McDonalds, the prime location of the site, alongside a potential new ASDA superstore, played a significant part in the successful conclusion of this sale.”

“We are continuing to market a smaller site of circa 0.4 acres adjacent to the KFC development. This site presently has planning permission for a car wash facility but would suit a variety of commercial / retail uses. This would be available either by way of lease or outright sale. Alternatively or our client would create a purpose built unit for lease.”

Other occupiers within Westway Retail Park include Focus DIY, Acorn Pet Centres and Halfords.

John Britton Associates, KFC’s retained acquisition agent in Scotland, acted on their behalf in the purchase of the site.
