Peterborough Garden Park opens 85% let

Garden Park Investments' £25m Peterborough Garden Park opened with 85 per cent of the scheme's retail accommodation pre-let.

The 15-acre Peterborough Garden Park is anchored by Van Hage in a 50,000-sq ft, state-of-the-art garden centre with 80,000 sq ft of external sales space. Sitting alongside Van Hage's "Crystal Palace" style building is an additional 42,000 sq ft of purpose-built retail units where Cotswold, Cotton Traders, Hobbycraft, Maidenhead Aquatics, Pets Corner, Le Creuset, Hawkins Bazaar, Past Times, PBC Books, Andronicas World of Coffee have all taken space.

And developer Garden Park Investments says there is strong interest in the last few units. Edward Olley of Garden Park Investments said: "Despite difficult economic conditions the scheme has attracted excellent retailers, who have all committed ahead of opening, confirming strong confidence in both the concept and the regional retail market."

Cushman & Wakefield is letting agent for the scheme.
