Multi-brand fashion retailer Republic has announced plans to open a further 12 stores in 2010, including a strategic move into the Irish market, as part of a strategy to double turnover in the next three years.
During 2009 Republic opened 10 UK stores and re-located another two. And in the coming year it plans to keep up the momentum with another 12 new openings, including the first Irish store, opening in Belfast in March
In the year to 31 January 2010 Republic beat forecasts with sales of more than £200m and it says EBITDA will be “significantly ahead of the £30m previously stated.”
CEO Tim Whitworth said: “I am delighted with last year’s performance and excited with the challenge of taking Republic into a new era of development. Our unique ‘house-of-brands’ model and fashion credentials set us clearly apart from the competition…we partner with the best brands and teams in our market and believe we are excellently positioned to continue our exceptional growth.”
