First ever shopping centre wedding

The Kingdom Shopping Centre in Glenrothes, Scotland became the first UK mall to host a wedding on Saturday July 4.
Euan Crawford from Paisley and Laura Macdonell from Worcester won a competition to make their wedding go down in history and tied the knot in the mall in front of friends, family and shoppers.
The lucky couple also won a full wedding ceremony and reception package worth over £12,000 including a week’s honeymoon in Turkey.
Euan entered the competition in a national newspaper in February as a Valentines surprise for girlfriend Laura. Unsuspecting Laura was understandably shocked but delighted when Euan announced to her that they were the lucky winners – especially considering that they weren’t even engaged yet.
Fortunately Laura said yes and the ceremony took place in the centre’s main events space, with a fantastic time had by all, including the onlooking crowd who clapped and cheered the couple on.
Anna Bluman, NB Real Estate’s marketing manager at the Kingdom Centre came up with the idea. She said she was delighted with how the whole day went: “Everyone at the centre was very excited about the wedding day and we are so pleased with how it’s all come together,” she said.
