The BRITISH PARKING ASSOCIATION has appointed PATRICK TROY as its new chief executive. He was formerly head of traffic enforcement for Transport for London and previously head of parking services at the London Borough of Sutton.
PROPINVEST has appointed ANDY BRADLEY to the job of centre director at East Kilbride Shopping Centre. Most recently Bradley has been centre director for the Headrow Centre in Leeds and The Gate entertainment and leisure venue in Newcastle. Prior to this, he was centre director at The Gates in Durham and earlier in his career he was heavily involved in the development of a new university in Lincoln.
ELLENOR BOYLE has been appointed as marketing manager at the Galleria, LAND SECURITES’ designer outlet centre in Hatfield, Hertfordshire She has six years retail marketing experience with the women’s fashion retailer Select as well as having worked for Currys and Office World.
SKILLSMART RETAIL today announced the head and board members for its National Skills Academy for Retail. The board will be chaired for the first year by JENEFER GREENWOOD of Grosvenor. Other members will include SIMON QUIN of the Association of Town Centre Management, MARTYN CHASE of DTZ and president of the BCSC, LESLEY DAVIES of Marks & Spencer, AMANDA SOLLOWAY of BMB Clothing, PAUL MARTLAND of Land Securities and ANN CADMAN of The Source training centre at Meadowhall.
CHESTER PROPERTIES has recruited GARETH THOMAS as its new marketing manager at the Festival Park outlet shopping centre in Ebbw Vale. He joins Festival Park with ten years experience in the marketing and retail industry, having previously worked in marketing positions for the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Group and the low cost airline bmibaby.
KNIGHT FRANK has promoted ANDREA GEORGE, who works in its Manchester retail team, to partner. The move comes five months after she joined the agency as part of Knight Frank’s acquisition of niche retail/leisure agency Markham Vaughan Gillingham. She handles a number of key North West schemes including Spinningfields and Piccadilly Place in Manchester, Exchange Flags in Liverpool city centre, Altair in Altrincham and Clarence Dock in Leeds.
STUART HARRIS has been appointed leasing director at MULTI DEVELOPMENT UK. He has 16 years experience in the retail property industry working for DTZ, Donaldsons, Jones Lang LaSalle, and Colliers Erdman Lewis. He will be responsible for overseeing the leasing and commercial aspects of Multi Development’s UK portfolio which includes Southgate in bath and Suimmer Row in Wolverhampton.
Savills has recruited John Paul Jackson to join its shopping centre management team based at its Grosvenor Hill offices, London. He has 22 years experience in shopping centre management. He most recently worked at Churston Heard, where he was head of retail management and acted on behalf of British Land, Mutual Finance, Centros / Delancey, The Murdock Group, Translloyd and BDO Simpson Xavier. Tim Leatham, Savills head of shopping centre management in London, said: “I am delighted that John Paul has joined the London shopping centre management team. His experience and knowledge will be invaluable in what I expect to be an extremely busy and successful 2009.”
