Cabot Circus bucks the downturn

Over 2 million shoppers have visited Cabot Circus in its first full month of trading. The £500m scheme, developed by Bristol Alliance partners Land Securities and Hammerson, has attracted an average weekly footfall of 500,000 since opening on September 25.
The retail and leisure destination has signed a further five retailers, taking the scheme to well over 90 per cent let.
Jeweller Azendi and beauty products retailer Rituals are to open new stores in The Circus element of the scheme before Christmas, while restaurant Crystal Rivers is set to open in Quakers Friars.
