HRH The Princess Royal gave her royal seal of approval to Grosvenor's £1bn regeneration project Liverpool One on October 1 when she launched the second phase of the now fully-open retail and leisure development in the heart of the city.

The Princess braved the elements to open phase two of the scheme, which includes the opening of Peter's Lane, which has attracted a number of high quality names such as Flannels, a 14-screen Odeon cinema, and a leisure terrace of new bars and restaurants that overlooks the five-acre Chavasse Park, which links the new scheme to the Albert Dock and is now open to the public for the first time.

The opening ceremony was held on the Sugarhouse Steps which leads up to Chavasse Park where the Princess was invited by the Duke of Westminster to unveil a plaque.
