Go ahead for new retail park in Swadlincote

South Derbyshire District Council has given Rokeby Developments and Peveril Securities the green light for a new retail and leisure park in Swadlincote, Derbyshire.
Proposals for Hepworth Retail and Leisure Park on the former Hepworth (pipe) Works 3.6 ha site, include 105,000 sq ft of non-food retail uses in four separate blocks arranged in a broad U shape. The 35,250-sq ft leisure element includes a five-screen Curzon multiplex cinema, and food and drink outlets.
Deals with a number of retailers are currently in solicitors hands. InnesEngland, Stephen Smart & Company and Knight Frank are advising Rokeby Developments and Peveril Securities.
