DTZ director Eileen Connolly has won one of the shopping centre industry's highest honours - the ICSC's Trustees Distinguished Service Award.
Only four of the awards were given out at this year's spring convention in Las Vegas and Connolly was the only European recipient. She is the first Europe-based marketer to win the honour which recognises the special contribution made by leaders in the shopping centre industry worldwide.
Connolly entered the industry in 1982 with Donaldsons and following the 2007 merger heads the DTZ retail marketing team. She has been involved with over 90 UK and European shopping centre and retail developments.
"This award is recognition that marketing is an investment and not a cost," she said. "It also recognises that marketing is an integral part of the service offering that helps to drive the performance of a retail property."
