Meadowhall has become the first UK shopping centre to offer its customers free electric car charging points.
The Sheffield mall has long had a reputation for being one of Britain's greenest, and now it has installed seven electric car charging points in its visitors' car park.
The centre will also use the charging points to run its own electric vehicle, which is an important part of a drive to reduce Meadowhall's 'business' carbon footprint for travel by up to 50 per cent.
To make this method of transport produce as close to zero emissions as possible, the electricity used by Meadowhall for the recharging points is entirely sourced from renewable, green energy.
