Warner Estate has let the 2,500-sq ft Unit 18, The Pyramids shopping centre, to Republic on a 10-year lease at £110,000 pa. Warner was advised by Churston Heard and Tushingham Moore. Kenney Moore represented Republic.

Game has taken the 1,625 sq ft Unit 10 at Tower retail park on a 10-year lease at £65,000 pa or £40.00 per sq ft. And the 3,320 sq ft Unit 11 has been taken by Nandos on a 10-year lease at £110,357 pa or £33.24 per sq ft. RREEF and Land Securities were represented by Wilkinson Williams and Edgerley Simpson Howe. Outfit has taken a 15-year lease on 9,000 sq ft at Unit C on the Blackwater shopping park at £258,750 pa or £28.75 per sq ft. Landlord Henderson Global Investors was advised by Wilkinson Williams and Morgan Williams and CBRE represented the tenant.


? GALASHIELS

Gamestation has taken a new 10-year lease, incorporating a tenant only option to break at year five, on Unit 8, Douglas Bridge providing 1,482 sq ft with first floor storage. Williams Gunter Hardwick advised the tenant and Eric Young & Co was the letting agent.

Morley Fund Management has leased Unit B on the Foundry Lane retail park, providing 7,404 sq ft, to Allied Carpets on a 15-year lease at £129,570 pa or £17.50 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams was letting agent.


? Huyton

Gamestation has acquired Unit 5, Cavendish Walk, providing 1,439 sq ft on a new 10-year lease incorporating a tenant only option to break at year five. The initial rent is £45,000 pax. Williams Gunter Hardwick represented the tenant while the landlord, MCR Property Group, was represented by Tushingham Moore.


? LEEDS

Town Centre Securities has let 34-38 Woodhouse Lane at the Merrion centre to Wilkinson Hardware Stores. Wilkinson, which is already trading from a 34,065-sq ft store in Leeds city centre, will trial a new smaller store concept from 6,053 sq ft at the Merrion centre. The store has been taken on a new 15-year lease at £135,000 pa. Town Centre Securities was represented by Savills and Harmer Ray Hoffbrand. Wilkinson Hardware was represented by Central Retail.


? London N15

Boots has taken the 5,350-sq ft Unit A2 on the Tottenham Hale retail park on a 10-year lease at £187,250 pa or £35 per sq ft. The retailer joins Asda Living, Next and JD Sports, which took space on the refurbished retail park at the end of last year. Landlord Hermes was advised by Wilkinson Williams, while CBRE and Montagu Evans advised Boots.

Stretford Limited Partnership has let 67/68 Broady Street Mall, Stretford, to Perfect Home. The 6,200-sq ft unit has been taken on a 10-year lease at £120,000 pa. Churston Heard was letting agent and Perfect Home was represented by DTZ.

Warner Estate has let the 2,800-sq ft Unit G7 in the Middleton shopping centre, Middleton, to Perfect Home on a 10-year lease at £85,500 pa. Warner was advised by Churston Heard and Perfect Home was represented by DTZ.

Hercules Unit Trust has let Unit B4 on the Silverlink retail park to Boots on a 10-year lease at £515,850 pa or £38.00 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams and Harvey Spack Field were letting agents and Montagu Evans advised Boots.

Barker & Stonehouse has taken 15,000 sq ft in Units 1-2 on the Giltbrook retail park on a 15-year lease at £442,500 pa or £29.50 per sq ft. And SCS has taken the 7,183-sq ft Unit 9, again on a 15-year lease, at £208,307 pa or £29.00 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams and Savills were letting agents on behalf of British Land. Thompson Heaney advised SCS.

Morley Fund management has let Unit P4 on the Bretton shopping park to on a 10-year lease at £187,500 pa or £25.00 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams was letting agent and Mason & Partners advised Peacocks.

Hawkins Bazaar has taken 1,716 sq ft with first and second floor storage at 63 the Dolphin Centre on a new 10-year lease at £103,000 pax. Williams Gunter Hardwick represented Hawkins Bazaar, while the landlord, Grosvenor, was represented by DTZ.

Clarks has taken Unit 9a at Parkgate shopping park on a 10-year lease at £183,920 pa or £44.00 per sq ft. The unit provides 4,180 sq ft. Wilkinson Williams, Harvey Spack Field and Morgan Williams were letting agents on behalf of British Land's Hercules Unit Trust and Green & Partners advised the tenant.

British Land has leased the 3,550-sq ft Unit 7 on the Teesside shopping park to Chiquito on a 25-year lease at £88,750 pa or £25.00 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams was the letting agent.

Joint landlords Segro and Tesco have recently let the 14,617-sq ft Unit 2, Clifton Moor, to Jysk on a 10-year lease at £277,723 pa or £19.00 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams was letting agent and DTZ advised the tenant.

Coffee chain Starbucks has recently taken the 1,500 sq ft Unit 13 on the Borehamwood shopping park in Hertfordshire on a 10-year lease at £61,500 pa. Wilkinson Williams and Harvey Spack Field were letting agents on behalf of British Land's Hercules Unit Trust and Morgan Williams advised Starbucks.

Wagamama has taken a 5,038-sq ft first floor unit at Schroders' Mermaid Quay for its first restaurant in Wales. Strong competition has contributed to a steady rise in rental values to the current £40 per sq ft over a five-year period. Letting agents were Malcolm Reid of Reid Rose Gregory and Philip Hughes Davies. Montagu Evans advised Wagamama.



? Glasgow

Danish fashion retailer Bestseller has acquired its second store in Scotland at Retail Property Holding's Silverburn centre. It will trade as Vero Modo and Jack & Jones in a 9,548-sq ft unit on a new 10-year lease at £280,000 pa. SGM Property Consultants advised Retail Property Holdings and Bestseller was advised by Harper Dennis Hobbs.


BB's spreads its wings across the uk

BB's Coffee & Muffins has continued its UK expansion with the acquisition of two new outlets in Hull, East Yorkshire, and single units in Bootle, Liverpool and Woking, Surrey.

In Hull, the premium coffee retailer has signed up for an 800-sq ft mall café at ING REIM's St Stephen's shopping centre on a new 15-year lease at £35,000 pa. And in Threadneedle's Prospect centre, it has taken a 1,700-sq ft unit on a new 15-year lease at £42,000 pa.

BB's has also taken a 2,366-sq ft ground-floor unit at ING REIM's Strand shopping centre in Bootle on a new 15-year lease at £62,500 pa. And a 900-sq ft mall café has been acquired from IM Properties at Wolsey Place in Woking on a new 15-year lease at £35,000 pa.

Dan Hildyard of BB's agent, Harper Dennis Hobbs, said: "BB's has been undergoing a successful expansion programme over the last few years and we're hoping to open a further 20 to 30 stores in the next 12 months."
