Land Securities has submitted a planning application for 'Evolution Corby', the second phase of its development in Corby town centre. Willow Place, the £35m first phase, opened in October last year.
Land Securities is proposing a retail-led mixed-use development alongside Willow Place containing retail, residential and community uses. 'Evolution Corby' will further expand the town's centre with 330,185 sq ft of retail including a 120,000-sq ft anchor store and 29 shop units; an 8,000-sq ft sports facility; 350 residential units and two new car parks totalling 1,600 spaces.
Land Securities' retail development manager, Mark Rymell, said: "Our plans for 'Evolution Corby' will continue our long term commitment to Corby's regeneration. The strength of the retail offer secured for Willow Place demonstrates the high levels of retailer demand for representation in the region, and we will be looking to further reinforce Corby's attraction as a key shopping and lifestyle destination."
Land Securities has retained Chase & Partners and King Sturge as joint letting agents for Willow Place, Corby.
