Modus has announced that the new Houndshill shopping centre in Blackpool will open its doors on 21 August 2008. And the formal launch will take place on September 6.
Modus is shunning the traditional autumn opening for new space in order to capitalise on Blackpool's summer trade. Debenhams, New Look, River Island, Jane Norman, Next and H&M have already committed to taking space within the extension, which will triple the size of the centre to 400,000 sq ft.
Modus managing director Brendan Flood is looking forward to the opening in August. He said: "This will be another distinctive Modus scheme which will bring a stylish environment to the famous British holiday destination of Blackpool."
Agents for the scheme are Savills, Lunson Mitchenall and Keenan & Co.
