Westfield has signed six retailers from the Arcadia Group for its £340m Bradford development. Topshop/Topman, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, Burton, Wallis and Miss Selfridge will take 43,341 sq ft in the new centre which is being anchored by Debenhams and Marks & Spencer.
Preparation works have begun on the 10-acre site, which when completed will include 588,000 sq ft of retail floor space in more than 100 retail units, a modern food court, residential units, office accommodation and parking for more than 1,800 cars.
Michael Gutman, managing director of Westfield UK & Europe, said: "We're delighted to have exchanged contracts with the Arcadia Group. Wallis and Miss Selfridge will return to Bradford city centre in the new Westfield development, while Arcadia stores already in Bradford will be able to improve their existing offer."
He added: "Retailer interest in Bradford is strong and further deals are close to being concluded."
