German fashion and lifestyle brand Gerry Weber has become the latest retailer to sign up for Grosvenor and USS's 450,000-sq ft Grand Arcade development in Cambridge ahead of its opening on March 27.
The 3,100-sq ft store will be the German brand's first standalone store outside London and its first in a shopping centre. Other new retailers just signed include All Saints with 1,950 sq ft and TM Lewin with 970 sq ft.
Neil Barber, head of retail leasing at Grosvenor, said: "There is massive pent up demand for quality space in Cambridge's highly attractive retail market. In addition to the deals just signed we have a significant number in solicitors hands and will be announcing many more exchanges over the coming weeks."
Other occupiers confirmed include Carluccios, Coast, Costa Coffee, G-Star, Hugo Boss, Jane Norman, Links, Phase Eight, River Island, Ted Baker, Wallis, Swarovski, Warehouse, Topshop and Topman.
Grand Arcade incorporates a new 255,000 sq ft John Lewis department store. Fifty-two further shop units over two levels, cafés, a restaurant, a new 950-space car park and a 500-space cycle park, comprise the remainder of the scheme.
