Willow Place, Corby |
Land Securities has signed Primark to complete the anchor store line-up at Willow Place, the 175,000-sq ft scheme in Corby town centre which opened in October last year. Primark is to open a 48,000 sq ft store within the £35m retail scheme in September.
The developer is also in advanced negotiations with three major retailers to take the five remaining units in the scheme, which already houses TK Maxx, New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Burton, Evans, River Island and Jane Norman.
Mark Rymell, development manager – retail at Land Securities, said: “Primark will provide a major addition to the fashion offer at Willow Place, and reinforce its attraction as a key shopping and lifestyle destination. It is the first time that Corby has enjoyed such a strong concentration of major high street retailers in a single location. Visitor numbers have already exceeded targets with shoppers coming from as far afield as Kettering and Peterborough. In just five months of trading, Willow Place has outperformed expectations and is well on its way to becoming an important sub-regional retail centre.”
Joint letting agents for Willow Place, Corby, are Chase & Partners and King Sturge.
