Urban Outfitters joins Cabot Circus, Bristol |
The Bristol Alliance has attracted ten more retailers to Cabot Circus, the million-sq ft city centre retail and leisure destination being developed in the centre of Bristol.
Urban Outfitters has taken a 14,000-sq ft store on Cabot Circus’s Concorde Street, the most northerly of the three new pedestrian streets being created as part of the new development. Oakley is to take a 2,800 sq ft unit, while Puma and G-Star have signed up for 3,300 sq ft and 4,000 sq ft stores respectively.
And Quakers Friars, the new quarter for designer and luxury fashion and lifestyle brands at Cabot Circus, has attracted All Saints, which is to open a 3,800 sq ft store next to Hugo Boss, and branded leather accessories retailer Radley, which is to open an 800 sq ft store next to Ghost. French Connection and Fat Face are also to open 4,000 sq ft flagship stores in Quakers Friars.
In addition Bath-based independents Bloomsbury and Ellis & Killpartrick are to open their first stores in Bristol at Quakers Friars in 800 and 2,800 sq ft respectively.
Bristol Alliance leasing director Keith Stone said: “Our leasing progress is well ahead of where we had expected to be by this stage and we are now beginning to introduce niche and independent operators to the tenant mix. Nearly 75 per cent of retailers secured for Cabot Circus to date will be making their trading debut in Bristol’s city centre. The strength of the retail line-up will transform the city into the fashion and lifestyle shopping capital for the South West."
The development, carried out by a partnership between Land Securities and Hammerson, is on target to open in Autumn 2008. Joint letting agents are DTZ and Lunson Mitchenall.
