The Bentall Centre in Kingston is the unexpected setting for the first exciting episode of the new series of ITV's hit sci-fi show, Primeval, which was broadcast on Saturday, January 12.
After three raptors were drawn into the centre by the warmth of the mall's air conditioning and the enticing smell of Kingston's shoppers, the Primeval team was brought in to restore order - but not before carrying out various dangerous pursuits throughout the centre.
The location scouts were so impressed with the Bentall Centre atrium that the producers actually changed the script to include an exciting chase through the centre, involving the prehistoric creatures and a speeding motorcycle rider. After several nights of filming, the end result is enough to make even the most hardened of shoppers look over their shoulder during their January bargain hunting.
