Vinci Park is in discussions with the British Parking Association (BPA) about how best to promote the benefits of Park Mark to consumers.
Phillip Herring of Vinci, which has 70 car parks around the UK with Park Mark status, said: "I don't know that the end user ultimately realises that one car park is more secure than another just because there's a Park Mark badge on the door.
"It is partially the responsibility of the BPA along with the operators and we're having discussions with the Association on how best to kick start greater awareness."
