An ambitious £30m reinforced concrete project to build Europe's biggest car park will soon feature as part of the £500m Cabot Circus development in Bristol, which is due to open in autumn 2008.
Bristol-based contractor Febrey is taking advantage of the innovative 'flying' table system, developed by the firm SGB Formworks, to form up to eight 7,000 sq m car park levels.
The 'flying' tables comprise the SGB GASS aluminium shoring system combined with Du-Al aluminium formwork support beams. Coupled with an efficient table layout that minimises strip and erect areas, the labour elements of concrete formation are consequentlty minimised.
