Manager of the month

The Mall Falkirk has announced the appointment of Suzanne Arkinson to the key role of centre manager.

With an extensive background in catering and retail management, Suzanne has a strong track record working with major brands such as McDonalds, Safeway and BAA.

The former retail development manager at Glasgow Airport succeeds David Pierotti, who spent four years at The Mall. She says: "The Mall Falkirk is recognised as a high quality and successful shopping centre that truly embodies The Mall's brand values of being caring, easy and dynamic. I'm extremely fortunate to have a great team around me who will help me achieve my ultimate goal - understanding and delivering exactly what our shoppers want, including attracting additional big name retailers."

Arkinson started her career in catering, working with McDonald's before joining Di Maggio's restaurant as manager in the St Enoch Centre. She then joined Safeway, working for the leading supermarket for seven years and becoming deputy manager of the multiple's flagship store in Anniesland, Glasgow.

Following the birth of her child, she decided to alter her career path and moved into retail management at Glasgow Airport. She worked there for three years, overseeing the refurbishment and expansion of the retail offering in Scotland's busiest airport.

Situated in the heart of Falkirk, The Mall hosts a wide selection of top independent and national retailers including Marks & Spencer and a Desire by Debenhams department store.
