Simcoe Computers has taken a new five-year lease on the 315-sq ft Kiosk 2 in the Deiniol Centre at £22,000 pa. Lessor the Atmore Group was represented by Legat Owen.

Body Shop International has taken Unit 11B, totalling 2,175 sq ft, in UBS Triton Property Fund's 90,000-sq ft Spires shopping centre, on a new 10-year lease at £62,000 pa. Capital Retail and Knight Frank are joint agents and Savills advised Body Shop.


? Bluewater

Hawkins Bazaar has acquired the 1,553-sq ft Unit L039 with first floor storage by way of a new five-year lease without review. The initial rent is £130,000 pax. Williams Gunter Hardwick represented Hawkins Bazaar, while the landlord, Blueco, was represented by DTZ.

Body Shop has taken the 1,650-sq ft Unit 6D on British Land's Borehamwood Shopping Park on a 10-year lease at £63,000 pa, equating to £38.18 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams and Harvey Spack Field were letting agents and Savills advised the tenant.

Pets at Home has taken the 7,392-sq ft Unit M2 at the Croft Retail & Leisure Park on a 15-year lease at £240,240 pa, equating to £32.50 per sq ft. Landlord USS was represented by Wilkinson Williams and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Home Store & More has taken the 19,950-sq ft Unit 5 in British Land's Beehive Centre on a 15-year lease at £379,050 pa, or £19.00 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams and Harvey Spack Field are letting agents.

Salmon Harvester has leased Unit 14 at The Brewery to Burger Burger. The new fast food operator has taken the unit, which provides accommodation on ground and first floor totalling 2,917 sq ft, on a new 25-year lease at a commencing rental of £56,000 pa. Hartnell Taylor Cook was letting agent.

London & Regional has secured three more lettings at the £40m Antonine Centre. HBOS has taken the 6,450-sq ft Unit 17 at £210,630 pax, Holland & Barrett has taken 1,566 sq ft at unit 30 at £55,000 pax and Birthdays is taking the 2,337-sq ft Unit 25 at £72,000 pax. Cushman & Wakefield and Montagu Evans are joint letting agents and Smith Cole Wright acted for Birthdays.

Joy has chosen Lend Lease's Overgate shopping centre for its third Scottish store, taking Unit L6 on the lower mall at £110,000 pa. Pudney Shuttleworth represented Joy and SGM represented Lend Lease.


? Edinburgh

Jeweller Ortak has taken a one- year lease on unit RU49 at Ocean Terminal at £70,000 pa. Hamilton Glen and SGM Property Consultants are letting agents. Ortak was represented by Smith Cole Wright.


? HUDDERSFIELD

Jane Norman has taken the two-floor, 3,000-sq ft, Unit 6 at Kingsgate shopping centre on a 10-year lease, at an initial rent of £112,000 pa. Brian Oakwell & Co, Rees Denton and King Sturge are joint letting agents.


? LIVINGSTON

Games Workshop has agreed a 10-year lease on a 350-sq ft unit in the Almondvale shopping centre at £22,750 pa, with three months rent free. Montagu Evans and Culverwell acted on behalf of landlord Land Securities while Games Workshop was represented by Johnson Fellows.


? Milton Keynes

RREEF has let two more restaurant units in the latest phase of its Theatre District scheme. Spanish Tapas brand Ortega has taken 3,858 sq ft at £75,000 pa and Fine Burger Company 3,271 sq ft at £82,000 pa. Jones Lang LaSalle advised RREEF.


? Newark-on-Trent

Supercuts and Card Factory have acquired space in the St Mark's Place shopping centre from Oakgate Group. Supercuts has acquired 1,081 sq ft on the ground and first floors at Unit Two on a 10-year lease at £22,500 pa. Card Factory has acquired 1,152 sq ft on the lower and ground floors at Unit Seven on a 10-year lease at £38,000 pa. Knight Frank acted for Oakgate Group; Leslie Perkins for Supercuts and Fawley Watson Booth for Card Factory.

99p Stores has taken Units 5-9 The Walnuts on a new 10-year lease at £87,500 pax. The unit provides 3,897 sq ft of ground floor sales with 442 sq ft at first floor and 636 sq ft at second floor. Kitchen La Frenais Morgan and Smith Price are letting agents on behalf of Goodman Property Investors. Proteus advised the tenant.


? Stockton on Tees

River Island has taken a 10-year lease on the 5,554-sq ft Unit 9b on the Teesside Shopping Park at £249,930 pa or £45.00 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams and Colliers CRE are joint agents on behalf of British Land.


? Tottenham

Britel Fund Trustees has leased the 5,800-sq ft Unit A1 on the Tottenham Hale Retail Park to JD Sports for 10 years at £188,500 pa or £32.50 per sq ft. Wilkinson Williams and CBRE are letting agents.


? CAERPHILLY

Gamestation has acquired Unit 27 in the Castle Court shopping centre, providing 1,300 sq ft of ground floor sales space with rear and first floor storage, on a new 10-year lease at an initial rent of £57,000 pax. Williams Gunter Hardwick represented Gamestation, while the lessor, Scottish Widows, was represented by Jackson Criss.

The Glanmore Property Company has leased a 600-sq ft unit in the Loreburne shopping centre to Passion for Perfume on a new 10-year lease at £42,000 pa. Cushman & Wakefield was letting agent, AtisReal represented the tenant. John Menzies, head of retail at Cushman & Wakefield, Scotland, said: "Passion for Perfume fills a valuable gap."

Centenary Asset Management has signed three more brands to its Priory Centre. Costa is taking a 10-year lease on 2,000 sq ft of sales space and 1,150 sq ft of ancillary space at £41,000 pax, Poundland takes 6,700 sq ft, and 3 Stores takes a 525-sq ft kiosk. Proctor are letting agents and Fawley Watson Booth advised Costa.


Grosvenor cooks up five new deals in Inverness

The Grosvenor Shopping Centre Fund has attracted five new retailers to the Eastgate Centre, including Professional Cookware Company which has taken Unit 60 in the Lower Mall.

Other new retailers on this stretch include fashion retailer Phase Eight which has taken the 1,668-sq ft Unit 58, and Jones Bootmaker which has taken the 1,518-sq ft Unit 57. In Phase 1 of the centre, 3 Stores has acquired the 728-sq ft Unit 24A and 4 Front is moving into the 1,913-sq ft Unit 27.

Fuel Juice Bar has also taken a stand-alone kiosk unit at £45,000 pa.

Professional Cookware was represented by Harper Dennis Hobbs, Jones Bootmaker by Burns & Co and 3 by Michael Peddar & Co. Cushman & Wakefield and SGM Property Consultants advised Grosvenor.
