Green Property, the company that owns the Blanchardstown Centre in north-west Dublin, is actively planning a major extension of the centre.
Conor Byrne of Green Property said the company had applied to Fingal county council for planning permission for a mall extension of about 30,000 sq m, which will be known as the Yellow Mall.
The company has also applied for permission for a 20,000-sq m office development on the site, which will include retail at ground floor level. It is hoped that, if planning is granted, work will begin on site in the spring of 2008, with completion probable in November 2009.
